The City of Surrey is the largest city by land area and second most populated in Metro Vancouver. Surrey is a forward-thinking, globally recognized leader in building vibrant, sustainable communities through technology and innovation. The city is one of the fastest growing, culturally diverse cities in Canada. 

Mainly a suburban city, Surrey is the province's second-largest by population after Vancouver and the third-largest by area after Abbotsford. Seven neighbourhoods in Surrey are designated town centres: Cloverdale, Fleetwood, Guildford, Newton, South Surrey, and City Centre encompassed by Whalley.
